Kansas DOL Compliance Help

Lately, the Kansas Department of Labor inspectors have been doing on-site safety evaluations of Kansas county facilities.  The KDOL is responsible for enforcing workplace safety regulations for cities, counties, and school districts.  We are consistently seeing counties being cited for not having policies and training for five specific areas of employee safety.

KWORCC’s intent is to pass along the information that will hopefully allow you to be compliant with their rules when the inspectors do show up.  We have added these five topics to our free online training program at GovU, so that you can get your employees trained.

While each county will need to develop and write their own policy to reflect the work environment, KWORCC does have information to help you develop that policy. If you need assistance evaluating your work environment and developing a safety policy, please contact one of KWORCC's Loss Prevention Specialists, Carl Eyman (Cell - 785-230-0234),  Brandon Mann (Cell - 785-250-5118) and Ben Woner (Cell - 785-249-6270)
